Enjoying the Outdoors Near Reno-Sparks and in the Sierra Nevada

Ken and Alicia love spending time in the outdoors with their three children. The Reno-Sparks area is one of the best places in the country for an outdoor enthusiast. With the Sierra Nevada Range and world-renowned Lake Tahoe at Reno's doorstep, there are more opportunities for outdoor recreation near Reno than a reasonably active person could enjoy in a lifetime. In addition to the Sierra Nevada, the mountain ranges of the Great Basin should not be overlooked, as they offer outstanding opportunities for scenery, wildlife, solitude, and a little bit of history.

Enjoying Nevada History

Ken and Alicia love visiting places of historical interest in Nevada and beyond. Ken is an avid historical marker hunter and has a solid collection of photos of historical markers to show for it. Ken and Alicia have found that understanding a place's history gives them greater appreciation for the area.
